30 weeks

30 weeks

total weight gain +28 lbs, 137lbs

I cringe looking at that number on the scale. I feel like my stomach is SO large. I love being comfortable. Mornings are best for getting things done and being out and about. Come 8:30pm I am guaranteed in my comfy jammies and possibly already lying down.

Going from laying down to getting up is a task and definitely requires rolling to one side now. My muscles are so sore. No swelling yet.

So I failed my 50mg glucose test and they called me back in for the 3 hour one. I cried when they told me the news. I pride myself on my health and I take joy in never having anything wrong. I felt like a failure. I eat pretty healthy and sweets are my only downfall. I'm going to be so sad if I get diagnosed with gestational diabetes for the last 10 weeks!

They take your blood when you arrive (after not eating or drinking) then give you 100mg of that disgusting drink. When you are used to drinking water, it tasted like alcohol by the time I was through. Then you wait another hour and they take your blood again every hour for 3 hours... a total of 4 times (9am, 10am, 11am, and noon).

The first hour was the worst by far. I almost fainted in the waiting room... sounds started getting muffled, I felt a sweat coming, and my eyes started getting dark. I fanned myself with my journal and prayed to hang on in fear of having to come in again and start over. I moved to the couch, laid down and propped my feet up. Yes, I was that patient.

School starts next monday! I found some GREAT maternity buys this week and Gap was having a 40% sale online. I tried some things on at south park and then ordered them for the discount. Hubs gave me a little back to school shopping money. We can't wear leggings to school so that nixed my go to outfit for everyday wear. I have one pair of red maternity pants and a light stone colored jean (previously pictured) but I'm there 4 days a week so it's nice to have some options! I have a hair appt Friday too so I am excited to have a little beauty day.

I got my results back from the 2nd glucose test and praise the Lord i PASSED!! The said "eat whatever you want, not even close." whew-hew!!

29 weeks

29 weeks
17 inches, 3 lbs

29 weeks pregnant
There have been so many times I've just stopped to stare at my tummy because I have been thinking "what the heck is going on in there?!"

This week my belly button started poking out later in the day. Kins and I say "that's weird!"

I looked in the mirror yesterday and officially thought "I'm huge"

First Migraine of my life.

I had my glucose test this past friday- I'll be notified if anything didn't pass. I'm assuming all they'll say is that my iron's low, but we'll see!

Her heart rate was 158 and I was measuring at 27 weeks. I never know what that really means, but the Dr. said I'm still on track for my due date (though this time I'm hoping to be induced again).

The weather is AMAZING this week! I got to pull out a fall "poncho" and boy are fall clothes so much more comfortable! Hubs gave me some back to school shopping money and I hit up gap's maternity line (online) for a couple pairs of pants. I'm addicted to online shopping... even if it is window shopping most of the time.

I still can't believe she's 17inches... I feel like she is so out of room and everytime she moves (which is A LOT!) I check to see if I can see an actual imprint of a hand or foot. I need more belly butter as this thing is growing!

I can still sleep on my stomach, with one arm propped above my belly and my knee/leg curled up to the side. I crave a good night's sleep-- especially as I know those are coming to an end for a while soon.

We are thinking about getting the 3D ultra sound... I probably won't do it at my OB because it is super expensive there, but we might shop around for a good deal to at least see something! I loved seeing what kinsley was up to and how she mimicked her inside and outside whom habits.  I was 30 weeks with Kins, and I think this time I may wait til about 32 or so?

Head of Cauliflower

total weight gain +25 lbs, 134lbs

INTRODUCING...
Maclaren Rose Porter ("claire" for short)

Our baby girl officially as a name!

Glucose screening test is next week along with Tot trade consignment sale AND open house at school! Plus Gray starts his new job! Things are about to get busier and busier so I am trying to soak in all the sleep I can. I still can't nap though.. mainly because my toddler doesn't and I have too many things to do. We basically go go go until we crash.. or until hubs comes home and lets me get a little break.

I keep getting questions about photo sessions in October... I'm SO thankful for potential business but it just happens to be the month I'll be super pregnant or have a newborn. I'm trying to work in what I can.. but you just NEVER know! I hope I'm a week late and have a scheduled induction again. Wishful thinking (and so different from last time wanting to go "naturally" early).

Better go catch those zzzzz's.. newborn sesh in the morning!

I am hot. I hate being outside (unless in gym clothes or bathing suit at the pool). This summer heat is ridic. Everything is checking out good at the Dr. Last appt, baby's heart rate was 156 and doing lots of moving. We had teacher training day on Thursday. I'm glad my maternity pants I bought at the beginning still fit! You don't really think about adding weight on elsewhere so you really can't know if maternity stuff will fit the whole pregnancy when you try it on during week 8 ha.

Still waiting on daddy to settle on a name.

Nursery is still in progress. Such a process this time.

Kinsley is cutting one of her 2nd molars... buh (and blankie) are the number one soothers and I'm fine with that. It does get heavy (and hot) carrying her AND blankie and diaper bag and shopping bags. I need to bring a long a wheeling tote bag.

We brought Ansley and Lauren to the y with us for a day of working out and water park and it was a blast! The girls loved playing together and swimming around. Kins went down the frog slide SO many times!

26 weeks, 2 days

26 weeks, 2 days
Size of a Cucumber
15in, 2.2lbs

Total weight gain +23lbs, 132lbs blahh

Today we sold Kinsley's crib... I told Gray I wasn't going to tell the buyer I was pregnant if she didn't notice because I thought it would look bad - why would be selling a perfectly good crib? I hear the lady outside ask Gray if we were planning on having anymore kids.. he says "no" while i say "i'm actually due in october".. AWKWARD.

I managed to tell her that we didn't want Kinsley to feel like baby sister was taking all her things, so we decided to get a different crib. Kinda true, but really I just like shopping and new things.

GYM
We went to the gym and signed up for a membership on Monday. We went 4 days in a row plus the waterpark on Wednesday. That has been such pick-me-up for my day. The Hills has been playing on MTV retro brunch so I make sure to go and do 35min on whatever machine has a tv then some weights or weight machines. Kins has a blast in the childcare. She didn't cry once or act too attached when getting dropped off. She plays with dolls, makes art work and plays with other kids.

She loved the waterpark but we definitely have to invest in this little inner tube with arm floaties thing that all the other little kids were wearing. I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to go down the toddler water slide with her but oh well. ha!

HOUSE
We are trading a lot of things out around the house.. decluttering, cleaning, donating and selling on craigslist. We've been working on this for a while. Today we purchased a new desk for Gray and a new small buffet for the dining room. My cookbooks and serving plates have been all over the dining room table since my sis came back to claim our coffee station/storage.

BUYS
Lauren and I took the girls consignment shopping at a trade show on Friday. They didn't have much but I did manage to get a couple cute things for baby girl. I also have bought the cutest headbands and a couple things from baby gap with a giftcard from my parents. They are ADORBS! I'm SO happy fall stuff is finally coming out!

JULY | 24/25 weeks preg

Our Beach Sched
8:30-9am wake up
drink coffee
watch hills
11am go to beach
1:30pm come in for showers and lunch
2:30/3 nap for kins and mommy and daddy go walking
5pm kins wakes up
7:30pm dinner
8:45-9pm bed time for kins- rock and read 4-5 books, sing amazing grace, twinkle twinkle, sunshine and baby bunting, give kisses

She loved sleeping in the pack-n-play.. not sure if she liked being back in confined space or if she was just exhausted at the end of the day. The week leading up to our trip was a nap/sleep nightmare. No naps and temper-tantrums at bed time. All since the "big girl" bed of course and having the freedom to get up and come out.

We weren't sure how to get back on a earlier schedule (because we save a lot of work to do after Kins goes to bed and if she doesn't go to bed til 9, I'm not far behind her haha).  Luckily, she has been taking good 2 hr naps, and bed times are falling around 8pm (still playing around with the best time) and she's in a mommy-only phase. I love Gray for trying to give me a break and spending hours trying to put her down. He rocks and reads and sings and she always tricks him into getting "one more hug" from mommy ha.

We joined the Y the monday we got back and it is HEAVEN. I love that I can go or not go or leave or only stay for 10mins or whatever without having to be so committed to childcare. She loves playing with new toys and other kids, and I think it is helping with some of the attachment issues (but not really).. mainly just giving me a little bit of a break, a little boost of energy, and a little feeling better about myself in this stage of preg.
