22 months

We are getting so close to having a 2 year old! so sad!

Our typical Day:
-Mommy wakes up before everyone and gets her makeup done, breakfast, quiet time and starts packing lunch.

-Then Daddy gets Kinsley up and brings her down for breakfast.
-I love kissing her sleepy cheeks!

-Whirlwind of a morning getting everyone dressed, lunches packed, and school things together- thank goodness for daddy!

- Go to school in her "big girl seat" and listen to her "own songs"

- Rush in to school and drop her off in the room down the hall

- After the bell rings I rush down the hall to hear her say "mommy" and want me to come inside and play- she doesn't want to leave!

- She falls asleep on the way home (about 10 min) and doesn't want to go back down for a nap (boo!)

- I miss her during the day but I would like just a little time to get the house together

- Instead we read all of her books, dump out the change jar and sort all the change over and over, then we watch bubble guppies, we color, then push "Anna" and "Abby" and "Emily" in the baby stroller

- We hide under the kitchen table and call foxy to come find us

- Mommy tries to clean the kitchen but Miss Kinsley says "mommy hold you" and mommy does as much as she can with one hand

- Kinsley wants to play with the water and the sink and "wash the spoons" so mommy stands her on a chair so she can get a few things done

- Then we play kitchen.. Kinsley brings me coffee, toast and butter. She sets the oven for a "couple minutes" while we sit in her pottery barn chair and sing "we're two best friends, we're two best friends" in a song i made up

- sometimes we run errands if I know she's sleepy and being fussy

- Then daddy gets home!

- Daddy plays with kinsley and mommy gets dinner ready

-sometimes they watch golf and "tiger. hit. boom!" and play with her little tikes golf set

- We sit at the table- often eating 3 separate meals because we are all so picky and say our blessing

- "dear deedus danku mamen"

- After dinner we either play or take a bath- she loves the bubbles and keeping a little trickle of water running to fill up her cups and wash off her letters

-Before bed, around 7pm, we turn on the humidifier, the night light, her night time music and
we read "all of om" -- all the books.. even a warranty book for our security system she got out of the file cabinet lol We also read "bunn", "big sun", "night night book," "giraffe," "babies," "owl book," and sometimes others get traded in and out.

- Then I tell her the story of our day- as many details as I can remember and she loves it! she always says "again"

- then I lay her down and we say prayers again.. I love praying over her

- sometimes she will get up and cry.. and I let her for a minute but when she says "mommy where are you" I can't help but rush in. I want her to know mommy is always there. Then I kiss her and put her down and tell her I will be watching her in the monitor ha

I think we are going to head to the beach this easter weekend! It's my last free weekend before wedding season! I have spring break next week too so I'm excited! We might go to discovery place, shopping, the park if it's nice, visit family and run errands.

I took some pics of Kinsley and Bryleigh for Easter with a little black lamb we named oreo. They can be seen here.

Fun in a box.

Hubs treated me to the BEST valentine's day EVER! He was out of town the night before v-day and I knew we were going to dinner somewhere at a certain time, but that's it. At school, I was sitting in the teacher's break room waiting for my next class to start and the assistant brought a big box of roses and said they were for me. For ME?! no way. I had to open the box and check that card to make sure. And it was indeed from my husband. A dozen roses, vase, bear and chocolates and the card said to check my glove compartment.

I ran outside (impressed that this took some planning!)
and there was a card with a spending amount to go and shop for something really nice.
Yes, pretty woman style.
I was crying.
I headed to the mall in search for an outfit (not as easy with a 1-year old) but none-the-less found some things I liked.
We went to a place a friend recommended , Passion 8 bistro, which was my type of food but a set menu. We enjoyed some fine dining and trying new things with each other.. laughing as though it was our first date :)
then he had tickets (already purchased, again great planning!)
to Safe Haven, a move I wanted to see.
It was glorious. We got home around 10 and it was the best day!
Thanks hubs!

This month was spent having little mommy daughter dates at starbucks and playdates at the park. The weather has been so crazy super sunny and the next day it snows. I'm ready for some more outdoor fun!
