Mothers Day 2014

A little note to my momma:

Thank you so much for being more than just someone who gave birth to me. More than someone who carried me for 9 months. More than someone who fed me and clothed me. More than changing my diaper. More than someone who just put me to bed. More than someone who just gave me a name and called me just that. Thank you for being more than someone who just dropped me off at school and waited for me to graduate.

Thank you for being the mom that poured Jesus into me. For being the mom that taught me what it meant to be a friend, a wife and a mother. A mom who got down on her knees and played laundry baskets with us. A mom who gave a us fun baths in the sink and made us make monkey noises for bananas. Thank you for giving me a sister. Thank you for being a mom that signed us up for any and every sport we wanted to try. Thank you for all the times you listened. Thank you for being a mom that called me beautiful, worthy, and a daughter of the King. Thank you for putting up with my tantrums and stubbornness. Thank you for being patient with me when I went through my rebel years. Thank you for being the mom that welcomed me home and forgave me. Thank you for being a pray warrior- for fighting for me, for trusting God and for surrendering control. Thank you for being a mom that loved my dad. Thank you for a being a giver. Thank you for being a mom that helps me with my own children.

I think you learn to appreciate your mom so much more when you actually have children. It's so hard sometimes and so rewarding at the same time. I'm really thankful for all you are and all you do! Love you!!
