22 weeks & Kinsley's potty adventure

22 weeks

Finally a pound! I feel ya girl! She is moving around a lot... I always try to get gray to feel but she always stops moving. I try to hold my breath and when I laugh gray says "i feel her!" haha

We have narrowed down our my list of 40 names and have about 13 ones we both like (first and middle). I think we have 3 fave combos but just agreeing on one final might be a process.

I feel so pregnant by the end of the day. I think I will be needing some iron supplements as I feel tired and like I'm gonna pass out sometimes. Not as bad as with Kinsley because this time I actually take my vitamin religiously. My results came back online and I saw my red blood cells dropped to below low normal. No note from my Dr. though so I'm not exactly sure what that means.

No swelling. No "new" stretch marks. I have little random ones on my forearm? Like whoa? weird. I assume my body butter worked good the first time so I have been starting that now that this belly feels like it is growing more and more.

No cravings.

Little back aches.. probably from picking up kins and doing these butt exercises. Sometimes I want a arms-free carrier for my two-year old... do they make those? Pretty sure the moby wouldn't hold her.

Kins decided she wanted to use the potty all day today! Random. She was very candy motivated. She actually wanted to drink everything she could so that she could go potty and get candy. Is that bad? She wanted to drink and then immediately run to sit on the potty sometimes... man this is work! She did her first stinky on the duck potty. I almost gagged but I was so proud! She was super proud too!

She got 2 candies for a stinky. Good thing daddy's candy jar was full.

She tinkled a tiny bit in her panties on the way to the potty and got so upset. Like total meltdown.

No nap again today for the 2nd day in a row which pretty much just equals extra clingy by 4pm. Cutting and loading chicken on skewers and getting the grill going all with one arm was quite a task.

She's still sleeping in her big girl bed and goes down easy with no nap ha. She now comes out of her room to the little gate/ rigged crib bar and waits for us to come out and see her. Then says "I get up." If I don't hear her first, Foxy does.

Baby: starting to perceive light and dark, eye lashes and eyebrows are formed, and hair might be growing on her head

I'm feeling better, more active and more "pregnant." I'm finally getting a legit baby bump and this tracy anderson workout is making me feel better about my thighs and arms at least. There's nothing better than sleeping after a good workout. This time last pregnancy I was still doing cycle classes and running but I didn't keep that up after Kinsley nor do I have a gym membership so at home workouts (cycle bike, walks, and videos) are what I do now.

Weight Gain: 128lbs, +19lbs

Things I'm loving:
- foam mattress back on the bed
- i have a hair appt tomorrow
- shopping/ getting the nursery ready
- eating (healthier now thank goodness those carby-feel-good wants have passed)
- major baby movement

Dear Kinsley,
You are SO funny! I love hearing all the new things that come out of your mouth. This is the beginning of some hilarious conversations. You notice all the details. If one thing changes in your room or I add a new book on the book shelf you do not miss it! And typically say "oh. my. GOOODness" whenever you see something different or new. You love to sing. You are becoming more of a toddler each day- wanting to do things yourself and thinking everything is yours. You love when people share with you but we're working on the sharing with others too part. You still love playing in mommy's makeup and purses. You are amazed at playing pretend. When mommy make-believes we are cooking in the baby pool or playing dr. with pretend shots.. you think it is the most amazing thing in the world. Then later it is funny hearing you say and watching you do the same things i did. We always say "okay.. that's gooood." You love eating frozen greek yogurt and lucky charms when daddy has them in the house. You think that only the marshmallow pieces are the lucky charms. You are excited for baby sister to come and I think you will be the biggest help! You love your dolls more than anything and you take care of all their needs. I love you so much and I'm so thankful to have you as my daughter!

Kinsley says

Today Kinsley told me she had a baby in her belly button.

As I was closing the door for her to go to bed she says "mommy... i had stinky yesterday" um...ok

Kinsley says

The other day when Gray went to get Kinsley from her bed she was standing up looking out the window and told daddy there was a mouse that ran by her window.

Today Kinsley actually told ME that we needed to go upstairs and take a nap.

I just uploaded a toddler cd to my old nano ipod so  i don't have to hear she can jam out. We've got to get her some old school headphones with the cushion because she can't keep gray's old ones hooked around her ears ha.

20 weeks and nursery planning

I have been gathering things for the nursery via a "secret" board on pinterest but I just found my color scheme all on one picture plus some of the types of patterns I like. I am dying to re-do Kinsley's room too so I can't decide what to do first or who's room should be what. So here's a little PEEK :)

Right after my ultrasound/last appointment, I started feeling baby move! I can't feel it from the outside yet... although when I try she seems to stop moving altogether. But I love it!

Pinterest wasn't around when I did Kinsley's nursery... I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I am constantly going back through my "fab baby" board and my "secret" board on pinterest and my faves on Etsy to find my best ideas. WHERE to start?! hmmm... from the start..

How it happend: We knew we wanted another baby.. it was just determining the "when". I wanted one pretty soon after Kinlsey turned ONE so I could time it with my school schedule and be off for the summer with the baby. Gray is the logical one, so he wanted to pay off some debt before we started "trying". We both compromised and officially got my Mirena out in October 2012. Little did we know that we didn't get to PLAN anything. God's timing was the ONLY timing and we just waited. Impatient and frustrated every month I tested a week earlier and got negatives. February came and we gave up "trying." Funny how that works! I was LATE and finally had enough patience to wait to take a test.

It was 3 or 4 days after I was supposed to start and I finally took a test while Gray was at work.

How I told the hubs: I tried to pinterest and google every creative way to tell your husband but I just couldn't wait long enough! I insisted we went out to dinner that night. We were about to say the blessing, and I offered to pray. At the end of the prayer, I said "and thank you for blessing us with a new little baby." We both choked up and held back tears.

I still fit in my pants, but there is nothing that sounds more unappealing to me than putting my skinny jeans. I am officially finishing my first trimester and I have already been making some legit maternity clothes purchases.

* a basic white and black tank to go under all my other shirts (gap makes a comfy stretchy white one, then the other is from forever21 non maternity for a tighter, slimmer fit ),

*I am hungry all afternoon. I am SUPER emotional... everything makes me sensitive. I keep hearing stories about other people (babies, near death, death) and I bawl!
*I can't remember all the details.
*My dreams are INSANE.
*I always have to pee at the same time every late late night/ early morning I think around 3am.
*I'm surprised at how short my dr. visits are. I never even have to get undressed-- I guess I just remember the end of last pregnancy.
* we still haven't told facebook/ a lot of people... crazy!
* ultrasound date is booked for 18+ weeks on June 4th (right before we go to California)

Maternity Buys:
- a couple of shorter flowy dresses from Ruche (non maternity but not form-fitted)
- an awesome splurge of lighter jean pants that I love and wear a lot
- an ASOS maternity dress for a wedding
- an ASOS one piece swim suit (hope it fits)

total weight gain: 125lbs; 16lbs! Just now at the weight I started pregnancy last time! (and last pregnancy i gained 20 in the first trimester lol)

Tuesday is the day we have our ultra sound! I can't wait to see that sweet baby's profile! Last time we had one, he/she looked like a piece of rice at 7 weeks or so. I am dying to know what we are having! My heart says girl but my brain says boy. I am already thinking of what to buy (clothes-wise) either way! We have a couple names we like but aren't definite with any of them. We are still deciding on how to make the announcement to our friends and fam about gender.. and then letting the facebook world/ people we don't see on a daily basis that we are having a baby at all haha.

Still no official baby "bump" just gaining weight everywhere and feeling fat. Food just tastes so good lol.  I just bought the Tracy Anderson pregnancy dvd and I think i'm at the point where I can pull out my juicer again.

6.4.13 18 weeks, 5 days
SO we saw our sweet baby today! The ultrasound showed a perfectly healthy baby! We didn't see the gender-- I have this VERY tempting envelope with the reveal sitting next to me. Only 2 more days til we get to open it!

iPhone Snaps from Kinsley's Party

24 months! she's a TWO year old folks!

It 's 8:51 on a Monday morning and toots is still sleeping! Mommy got up when daddy left for work, made coffee, worked out a little, and started editing. This is nice!

I love so much about Kinsley at this age! She is talking more and more and coming up with more of her own thoughts and not just repeating what we say. Yesterday she said "thanks for sharing with me mommy" after I gave her a bite of my food... I was like really?! she's doing really well learning manners.

Things she does/says:

- calls me "babe" (taking after Gray)- it's hilarious

- loves head and shoulders knees and toes, itsy bitsy spider, and ring around the rosy

- toddler pandora station is our new go-to music in the car... she LOVES hearing her songs

- kins: "momma, what you doin" me: "driving, what are you doing?" kins: "good"

- talks on her "phone" in the cutest voices ever... i love hearing her conversations with her phone and dolls... She almost sounds like a happy higher pitched william jung- cracks me up every time when I think of that!

-LOVES to sing- even songs she doesn't know.. she tries to sing along.. again a little william jung-ish when she doesn't know the words which again makes me laugh

- still loves baths

- sleeps in the most crowded bed... she wants every doll (even the doll carrier) and stuffed animal in her bed.

-we have finally progressed back to having "buh" for sleeping only... we have a new routine of saying goodbye to music, humidifier, nightlight, blankie and buh when she wakes up, and saying hello to all of it when we come in for naps and night night

- we read these books at night and if one is missing or skipped, you will not hear the end of it:
*Bun book (that has about 2 pages left in it)

*Big sun (a counting book she used to count everything on each page, but now we search for the big bad wolf)
*Baby book (gray and I both dislike it- we try to hide it constantly and she never forgets about it-- it's SO long and she notices if we skip a page)

*Izzy jog

- wants everything you are eating- i don't remember the last time i ate everything on my plate myself- which is hard since I am stingy with food-- i find myself eating ridiculously fast so that I can have it all
