1 year!

Kinsley just celebrated her first year! (well, on May 20th). I'll post pics from her party in a separate birthday post!

Highlights from the first year include: rolling over, crawling, mama, dada, baba, nana, 2 bottom teeth, and many traveling adventures!

Currently she weighed in at 20lbs 50%, 28cm height 25th%, and 44cm head circ. 40%. She had to get three shots at her appt and it NEVER gets easier. We did go out for a treat to tcby for some fat free yogurt and strawberries that was delish!

We have fun do anything that involves water, bubbles, and riding. I have gotten into cooking a lot of healthy things for my baby girl which is kind of tricky considering she only has two teeth!

She enjoys wheat pizza rolls with homemade sauce, wheat pancakes and turkey sausage bites, strawberries, organic yogurt, bananas, organic whole milk, apple and sweet potato bake, and homemade chicken tender bites. We shop a lot at the farmers market to get a ton of fresh veggies and fruits, the fresh market, and trader joes (they have really good deals on wheat dough and fresh parmesan to name a few!) I can't wait for the whole foods to open! She also still breastfeeds once in the morning and once at night.

She is so much like her daddy! She is a good sharer and is always willing to give anyone what she has. She likes to clean. She is a cuddle bug! She doesn't like to be alone... if you leave the room she wants to join.

She is getting really attached now that I am home with her during the day. We have SO much fun playing and discovering new things that when I leave she gets really upset. I'm nervous about childcare in the fall when school starts back that she will throw a fit. But maybe she'll be better when other babies are around??

She can show you her tootsies (toes), her button (belly button, her bracelet, her nose, and her head. When a dog walks by or if she sees a monkey she goes (who-who-who) which sounds like either ha. She can almost say "moo" when you ask what a cow says. Recently when I sing she sings along. Precious! She can wave, give kisses, give it loves (hugs), and blow kisses. She understands what you are saying most of the time even though she can't put words to it quite yet. She loves to shake her head "no" even though it doesn't really have a meaning yet.

She gets into everything! She is particularly interested in the toaster oven, getting out every piece of it and trying to eat the burnt pieces stuck the plate. She also has always been interested in these little white caps that cover screws on the toilet. She can find them in every bathroom in every house. weird. She wants to eat gum wrappers, stick her hand in cups, take out everything from the waste basket, and tip over foxy's water & food.

I love her more than anything. I get a lot done while she naps and goes down at night, but I kinda miss her. She is my mini bff and I am so happy she's in my life.
